Wow! I haven't written in a long time it seems. A lot has happened. First we had the holidays, which were a lot of fun and we got tons of awesome stuff for both us and Nathaniel. Thank you to all!
Christmas Eve Eve, we went to my grandparent's house and had a Christmas dinner of sorts. We got to see some of my cousins and other relatives. We sang Christmas hymns and sat around the tree talking. It was a good time.
On Christmas Eve I went to my Aunt Mindy's house for dinner and Chris went to work. He hadn't originally been scheduled but he is a good provider and when he got offered the hours he jumped on them. He came home a little after me. We had Kristian and Kelsey and then they spent the night. We woke up at 630am to open presents. Kelsey had work at 8a, so we had to make sure and be done before she left. We spent the rest of the day playing board games we had received, calling family and taking naps. All in all our holidays were a very good time. We didn't do anything for New Years because Chris was working overnight and I was tired. : )
Nathaniel is doing well. He is very energetic and loves to punch and kick at the same time so I'm getting hit in two spots at once. It is a very interesting sensation. We went to get another ultrasound a couple days ago and he was 5 pounds 15 ounces. He had his little hands curled around and holding onto to his feet. It looked pretty cute. We couldn't really see his face because he was hiding in the umbilical cord. He looked like a putty blob baby from the front. We did find out that I will probably be getting a C-section, all that is left to decide is if we will do an elective C-section or if I'll try to go natural and likely end up in an emergency C-section. We are discussing it with the midwife on Thursday, but will probably go with the elective because really, who wants an emergency.
Chris had his first day of his new job today! He is now a pharmacy technician for Walgreens. All certified and everything. Here is a picture of him heading out the door. He just got home a couple minutes ago and informed me that the time went a lot faster than overnight and he loves his new scrubs. I kind of guessed he would since he has been wearing his other pair every chance he gets. This was the nicer pair, it has tons of pockets, which he loves, and fits him better than the pair Walgreens gave him. His only complaint about scrubs is that they only come in V-neck. He is not a v-neck kind of guy. : ) He actually spent a whole evening on the computer trying to figure out why male scrubs only come in v-neck. There was nothing to let him know. I guess we have found a gap in internet knowledge.
Well, it is about dinner time. I'm trying to be better about actually cooking instead of making 5- 10 minute meals. We'll see how this one goes. I haven't made a casserole in a while. : )
