First of all, Nathaniel and Krissi now love to wrestle. There is frequent happy pushing, crawling on top of and scratching each other. 99% of the time they are both happy about it and there is no crying. Even when we separate them they find a way to push each other (see picture above). I guess it is just rough housing. They have a great time with it.
Wednesday we went on a hike. It took about an hour and a half to get there. We fed them right before we left but with that drive and a hike they were ready to eat on the way home. So we gave them both bottles in the car. Krissi didn't eat very much because she was too busy saying "Ahhhhhh" and listening to how the bumpy road made her voice sound. Nathaniel ate more but not by much. He was singing to Pooh Bear. I really wished I had remembered my camera because they were just being so cute. (My phone doesn't have space to take a video, I really need to figure that out)
Needless to say they were still hungry when we got home and I didn't want to waste the milk so I sat them on the floor and they just sat and ate together. They were so cute.
This is probably their favorite toy to share. Of course I can never get a picture of how they really share it but normally they have it turned over so you can see the top. Then they each play with one of the joy sticks.
Later yesterday we experimented with sensory play.
They really enjoyed squishing it in their fingers. Nathaniel was mostly just trying to figure it out on his own. Krissi, however, loved squishing it on Nathaniel. She would get a handful and stick it on his leg or arm or face. Just after this picture she got him on the cheek then about 5 sec later a whole handful on the cheek and eye. Instant crying ensued which is why we don't have a picture of his face covered. We washed them off after that. But they had fun while it lasted. I learned that all sensory play will take place in the tub from now on though, so that I can just turn on the water to clean everything up instead of having to mop 3 times. haha
While Krissi was sleeping Daddy decided to look up children's songs because he didn't know what to sing to Nathaniel besides Japanese songs. Nathaniel got into a very interesting position to listen to Dad sing and play with his wipes bag at the same time.
