Nathaniel sat up all by himself in Daddy's hand. It was kind of funny because Mommy was looking away when Daddy first started balancing him. She turned around and gasped. Daddy immediately pulled him in and started saying he was sorry but he wouldn't have let Nathaniel fall. He looked so guilty. Mommy actually gasped because she was so proud of Nathaniel and had started to run to get the camera. I guess Daddy is just too used to Mommy telling him to stop doing things.
We also took Nathaniel on his first hike. We went to Bridal Veil Falls.
This is a picture of Chris making me very nervous by taking Nathaniel up into the waterfall mist. All the rocks were slippery with mist and moss. I was not very happy with him.
Later we went to the BYU Paleontology Museum. I had never been and felt I could not leave Provo without doing so, so we figured why not today.
They had "touch" fossils all the way through.
Nathaniel's head could fit inside this guys eye socket.

I always call him my baby pterodactyl because of his reflex to stick his arms out when I put him down.
Triceratops were huge!
Oh no! Nathaniel is being eaten!
All-in-all it was a very fun and exciting day. (We also got to play Munchkin with the Mcnameras and Chris went to the missionary training center to pretend to be an investigator and help the missionaries practice their Japanese. I think he really enjoyed practicing too.)
This makes my heart yearn to meet this super cutie. I hope we can be reunited someday soon. Thinking of you now and always. Love, Aunt M.
